Volunteers

Our during-worship service children’s groups are always accepting new volunteers that would like to help out. Lesson plans are provided to help assist the volunteers with the children’s church lesson. If you enjoy helping care for or teach children, this is a very rewarding volunteering opportunity.

Serving in the church nursery: teach an age-appropriate Bible lesson and show God’s love through your serving.

One the 1st Wednesday of the month during the school year, we are in need of volunteers for Messy Church.

If you are interested in making the family-style meal, help with the worship service (singing, active movements), or fun activities and crafts, please let us know on the volunteer form below.

On the 4th Sunday of each month.

Stay after church for 20-30 minutes to help assemble sandwiches or pack desserts and snacks in the sandwich bags. 

If you have extra time and want to experience the joy of reaching out directly to the community, stay while we pass out the sandwich bags at outside the front of our church. When the weather allows, we are also set up at local parks or community spaces to reach out to families and those in resource scarce parts of town. 

Extra meals not passed out will be delivered to local organizations that feed the hungry or lonely in the community. 

Volunteer desserts or your time! We’d like to have many different people leading on different months. Leading involves planning the sandwich bag menu, shopping for supplies, and helping guide volunteers on what goes in the bags and where we are passing out meals that day. 

If you enjoy helping with landscaping (weeding, mulch, tending to flowers) or if you enjoy helping reach out to fellow parishioners by writing cards to those living afar (college, military, nursing homes, shut-ins), we’d love to see you help out here!

Before and during each service, we rely on volunteers from our congregation to help hand out bulletins, welcome visitors, gather collections, and help with communion Sundays. All teens and adults are welcome to help out here!

Volunteer your voice and joyful noise by joining our adult Choir. We meet for practice mid-week and arrive a little early for a warmup on Sunday morning.

If you have a special talent for playing a musical instrument, our parishioners would greatly enjoy hearing you play during our service. We especially look for special music volunteers during the summer months. 

This is a great opportunity for compassionate souls to provide a meal to those gathered in our church for a funeral service. This heartfelt volunteering opportunity is excellent for anyone wishing to help prepare food, clean up, and share kindness with those in mourning. 

On Brunch Church or Potluck Sundays, we are in need of volunteers to help set-up, cook, and clean up. All ages can lend a hand for these family-style gatherings. 

Stay after brunch church for a hands-on special mission project. Projects for all ages will be available to help our local community. 

If you have great interest in serving the local community and being a part of detailed discussions about how our church can help out, consider joining the local mission committee. 

We typically meet once a month but we also keep everyone informed through email communication (so you don’t have to be there every month). This committee helps lead our church’s local outreach.

We invite those with any or no level of experience to join this group where we work on sewing for different projects. 

This is a great volunteering opportunity for those with a love of sewing or those wanting to add a new skill to their toolbox!

If you enjoy nature and tending to gardens, this is a peaceful volunteering opportunity. We welcome all ages to help in our community garden. All of our harvest will be donated to the local food pantry.

Volunteers can help plant, weed, water, harvest, and clean up at the end of the season.

This is a gift we would love to have you share with us!

This is one of the most attended services as we worship by candle light.  Volunteers help set up luminary holders outside the church; they pass our candles to each visitor; they help light candles during the service; they collect candles at the end.
